THE  WALSALL COMMUNITY NETWORK
SAFE PLACE SCHEME

What is the SafePlace scheme?

A safe place helps vulnerable people if they feel scared or at risk while they are out and about in the community and need support right away.

The Safeplace scheme is widely used in many areas of the United Kingdom. Walsall Council wanted The Walsall Community Network to trial the scheme and help make it a success in Walsall. Most of our Safeplaces have trained Mental Health First Aiders, Dementia Friends, Domestic Abuse Champions and have a huge sign posting network making them best suited to help members of the public in their time of crisis.
